NAU Commencement Address 2015: Lifelong learning, and an alternate idea

Posted in Higher Education

Last semester, I had the opportunity to do something completely new to me: give the address at NAU’s fall commencement ceremony. A whopping amount of work (mine as well as many, many others’) goes into something like this, and I’m glad it’s behind me.

But besides being a huge honor, it was an opportunity to offer some expansive thoughts on learning, education and the future to our students and to fellow faculty. I loved this part of the experience, and if you’re interested to see what I said, the text is linked below.
